Beautiful Emile Gallè vase of 1878-1880.  In amber and blue glass worked with different techniques; a circular section is painted in black and gold enamels with a river landscape; one section is partly “martelé” and is painted in polychrome enamels with floral decoration. It also bears the engraved gold inscription “Fleur d'avril ne tient qu'a un fil” .      Height 12,60 in.(32 cm)
