About The Record:

Reminisce, by Mary J. Blige, was a single from her debut album What's the 411?. The single peaked at No. 6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, No. 5 on the Dance Songs Chart, No. 57 on the Hot 100, as well as being an international hit. Described as a new jack swing song inspired by 1970s soul music, it contained a sample of Stop, Look, Listen by rapper MC Lyte. The Daily Vault's Mark Millan described it as "a slick, Whitney-esque R&B track that gives Blige a chance to prove she can sing just as well as rap."
