Jerry Lee Lewis' Original Sun Greatest Hits featured fourteen hit tracks released throughout the decades of his highly successful career. These songs were of his own creation or his own rendition. The first track on the record, Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On, reached No. 1 in the R&B Charts, No. 3 on the Hot 100, and No. 1 in Country Music. Great Balls of Fire, the second track, sold one million copies in its first ten days of release, making it one of the best-selling singles in the United States at that time. Other major hits on the album included High School Confidential, Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee, Milkshake Madamoiselle, and more. Lewis had a dozen gold records in rock and country, won four Grammy awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and two Grammy Hall of Fame Awards. Lewis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
