Since 1990, I have enjoyed collecting and restoring antique radios and vintage audio.... all items I list will be exactly as described and packed extra well to ensure a safe delivery... buy with confidence! BUYER is responsible for doing their own research to ensure they are buying the correct woofer / part for their speakers, application, or DIY project. And... for judging whether part is compatible with their speaker's specs ! Once purchased, the order will NOT be canceled for any reason, and there are NO RETURNS! Ask any and all questions BEFORE buying ! For sale is a single 8" cone WOOFER made by Pyle in the USA. The frame diameter is 8.25", and when measuring distance between totally opposite screw-holes across center of woofer, distance is 7 & 7/8", measured center-center. Distance between adjacent screw-holes is 3", measured center-center. In 2022 I installed a new, quality foam surround so driver should perform like new for 15+ more years ! Tested and plays perfectly. I've refoamed 1000's of vintage woofers and am a perfectionist with the job... no voice-coil rubbing or sloppy glue. Pyle is known for making woofers/drivers that go into vehicle/car audio systems. The EIA date code stamped on frame is 1098 804, probably indicating Pyle (1098) made the woofer the 4th week of 1980....or possibly the 4th week of 1978... hard to tell with the way they stamped the code... only sure thing is that 1098 is the mfg code for Pyle. DCR on my meter measures 7.7 ohms, as would be in expected range for an 8 ohm "nominal impedance" system. Ask any and all questions BEFORE buying! Once purchased, the order will NOT be canceled for any reason, and there are NO RETURNS! Choose either USPS Priority Mail or FedEx Ground shipping at checkout. After buyer has left positive feedback to acknowledge everything OK, I will immediately return the favor. |
