Huernia "Red Dragon" Stapelia Cactus / Huernia penzigii


This is our second version of Red dragon huernias. These have a brighter tone and are multi colored. Check out our other listings to find solid green long "red dragon huernias"

Plants will be shipped bareroot for its protection.

You will receive a plant similar to the ones in the photos.

The plant will be carefully wrapped and nested in crinkle paper so that any shock to the packaging can be absorbed and remain safe. Our paper packaging allows the plants to breathe during their travel!

Care instructions will be provided with plant.

PRO CARE TIPS

Make sure to soak plant with water when soil is completely dry. Check if the soil is dry before each watering.

Best tip is to stick your thumb in the soil and check for moisture.

Direct sunlight for prolonged periods can cause sunburn (not good).

Keep plants out of frost!

• The flowers are five-lobed, usually somewhat more funnel shaped than in the closely related genus Stapelia, and often striped vividly in contrasting colors or tones, some glossy, others matte and wrinkled depending on the species concerned. The flowers are red
• These cacti don't mind getting plenty of sun. Just be sure to watch out for sunburn marks or spots and move the plant accordingly. No stress watering; These Cacti also love water so over watering would rarely be a problem. The cacti stems should feel solid (if they are squishy, give them more water). After a little practice, you can tell the soil is dry by feeling the weight of the pot. It is a lot heavier right after a watering.
• Also ensure that the temperature doesn’t fluctuate too much, ideally you need to keep it in the range of  50 – 80°F (10 – 27°C). You don’t really need to fertilize this plant.
