One Night Stand at the War Bond Rally, by Harry James, was one of his many live albums. Featured single I'm Beginning To See The Light, with lead vocals by Kitty Kallen, reached No. 1 on the Top 100. James' version of the song reached No. 7 on Billboard's Second Annual High School Survey in 1945. The jazz and popular standards, I'm Confessin', I'll Walk Alone, I'll Get By, and others, have been recorded many times and are highlighted by James here. He was especially known for his technical proficiency and tone, and was influential on new trumpet players from the late 1930s into the 1940s. He was also an actor in a number of films that usually featured his band.
