This is a vintage non-working TEXAS INSTRUMENTS ~ PHP 2700 Program Recorder. It's in good cosmetic condition (see photos) and battery compartment is very clean. I put 4 C batteries and a cassette in the unit, engaged the play lever and the take up drive spun haltingly and the player emitted a static noise. When I ejected the tape there was some unwound tape hanging out of the cassette, which was easily spun back in.
