About The Record:

Smack Dab in the Middle, by Janice McClain, was the first single from the R&B and disco singer. Shortly after her fifteenth birthday, she recorded this song. This single reached No. 6 on the Dance Club Songs chart and became one of the Top Ten most-played tracks in discotheques for the first five weeks of 1980. It was her best known song. McClain's recording resume has comprised chorale duties for talents such as Keith Martin, George Clinton, the Three Tenors of Soul, and others.
