Annual, Ocimum Basilicum,   Loaded with volatile oils, responsible for the heady aroma and strong flavor.  Grows 18-24" high and 12-15" wide.  The dark green, shiny leaves grow up to 3" long on a tall, erect plant that is slow to bolt.  Small terminal racemes of pink flowers in summer.  Drop one to two seeds and cover lightly with soil.  Germinates in 5-10 days.  Full sun.
