Product description: Gang Busters premiered as G-Men, on July 20, 1935. After the title was changed to Gang Busters January 15, 1936, the show had a 21-year run through November 20, 1957. Beginning with a barrage of loud sound effects – a shrill police whistle, convicts marching in formation, police siren wailing, machine guns firing, and tires squealing. The series dramatized FBI cases, which producer-director Phillips H. Lord arranged in close association with Bureau director J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover insisted that only closed cases would be used. Gang Busters had numerous sponsors throughout its run. It also ran on radio station across the country in later years as a syndicated program. This album includes programs from that syndication series. Digitally remastered and restored. EPISODE TITLES: The Case of the Rumbold Vault Robbery, The New York Narcotics King, The Case of the Three Safe Crackers, The Case of the Metro Motor Mob, The Horse Race Hijackers, Appointment With Death, The Case of the Cincinnati Narcotics Ring, The Case of Blackie Thompson, The Case of the Inside Track, The Safe Cracking Combine, The Case of Bugs Moran – Part 1, The Case of Bugs Moran – Part 2, The Case of Bugs Moran – Part 3, The Case of the Carnival Caper, The Case of the Costumed Killer, The Case of the Elusive Leader, The Case of the Chicago Tunnel Gang, The Case of the Dakota Badman, The Case of the Brothers in Banditry, The Case of the Jersey Butcher Bandit. 10 CD Set.
