Brand new factory sealed dvd is probably full screen, but it might be letterboxed as no aspect ratio is given.

This unique fantasy did terribly at the box office but, like Sole's 'Alice, Sweet Alice', it's surprisingly well made for its small budget and deserves another look.

The movie presents gorgeous dark-skinned model D.D. Winters (Vanity) as Tanya, a film technician with an abusive unemployed live-in artist-lover. His primitive paintings help inspire her dream about living on a beautiful tropical island where he acts surly and paints as usual and she mostly rides naked along the shoreline.

She finds and befriends a gentle Bigfoot (?) with blue eyes. Her jealous boyfriend can't accept the platonic relationship, locks the Sasquatch in a bamboo cage, and when he escapes, locks up Tanya. The sometimes humurous battle continues as man and ape-man imitate each other and fight for the woman who eventually wakes up screaming.

The extremely realistic costume was designed by Rick Baker (Best Make-up record holder) and Rob Bottin ('Thing'). Filmed in Puerto Rico with clips from 'Mighty Joe Young'.
