Item up for sale is one set of male U. S. Navy service stripes, hash marks, for 16 years Good Conduct Service - 4 gold service stripes.  Navy dress white uniform.

 

In accordance with U. S. Navy Uniform Regulations, Chapter 4, Section 2, Part 3, male U. S. Navy service stripes consist of embroidered diagonal stripes which are 5 1/4 inches long and 3/8 inches wide for male E-1 through E-6 enlisted personnel. Gold stripes are authorized in gold for 12 cumulative years of Naval active or active reserve service which meets requirements for Good Conduct Service.

 

All enlisted Naval personnel wear one stripe for each four years of active duty service or reserve service in an active status in any of the armed services.
