This is a gorgeous blanco / white porcelain piece from Gerald Porzellan featuring three birds intermingled with greenery. The beauty of this Bavarian (West Germany) piece is that it is an “in the round” piece that looks fantastic from almost any angle and so would look good either situated where only a few directions are seen or “in the round” situated on a surface away from walls. The piece is marked with the artist’s green marking from the 1937-1960 timeframe. We believe this piece is from the 1940’s like colored versions we have seen of this piece.
The piece is sized at 8.5” tall when measuring the greenery or 7” tall when measuring to top of the porcelain.
Note: Although we feel that the current greenery is gorgeous with this piece, please note that the artificial greenery could be replaced with other artificial flowers or greenery to match your decorum. This piece could also be used as a “frog” to hold fresh flowers for shorter periods or with periodic water refills. This would be gorgeous as part of a wedding centerpiece or unique cake topper.
