Costas works in a law firm and plans to move to a provincial town to accompany Smaro, a young heiress to a large real estate estate for sale, in Athens. The night before the trip he has fun with a friend and sleeps very late, so he does not wake up in time. She goes to the station just the next day, while in the meantime Smaro has come to Athens alone.
