this item is REALLY RARE and I will try to explain why:-) This is really substantial in size made in solid approx 15k yellow/dark yellow gold pendant brooch! It is from Victorian to Art Nouveau period, BUT it has elements of Native American (possibly Navajo) designs! Also it is set with definitely and most likely 2 gem quality turquoise cabochons and most likely Persian pointed cabochons of turquoise around! So it is like someone brought American turquoise cabochons to Europe during late Victorian period and combine it with Persian turquoise and Native American design in one item! I ve never seen anything like this before! Or someone from Europe brought to America Persian Turquoise and designed this pendant with Native American design elements with American turquoise added! the both cabs (center ones) set in very unique multi prong type of setting! and each setting was created absolutely to fit the uniqueness of the shape of each cabochon! this item probably has a very rare and unique history! please view photos as part of description. everything in great antique condition and patina was not cleaned or removed (even on pointed Persian turquoise cabs!) gold has no hallmarks but been tested to be solid gold! please review photos as part of description. the weight approx 11g! the chain on the 1st and last photos is not for sale - just for a demonstration to show how the pendant looks when worn. can be worn as pendant or brooch - has closed type of clasp - please see photo. THIS turquoise was mined long time ago, so there a high chance that this mine does NOT produce any more/or closed - so this item can NOT be produced any more! smoke free environment and fast shipping! fast international priority delivery! thank you! |
