Brand new factory sealed dvd has a few minor endentations and light scores on the cover that are only visible when you tilt it in the light. The back also, but one endentation has cracked the paper artwork underneath, price accordingly.

What seems like a typical nice mid-western small town has something evil that stirs beneath like a fresh baked apple pie with a couple of worms poking through the crust.

A rite-of-passage tale of sorts unfolds, with the youthful hero (MacLachlan) taking up the role of amateur detective in the wake of supposedly sinister occurences, and becoming involved with the club-singer mistress-cum-plaything (Rossellini) of a depraved criminal (Dennis Hopper) who is lethally, if obscurely, active in the drugs trade.

All of this revolves around the film's mystery elements, which are on par with the innocent whodunit mentality of a Hardy Boys-Nancy Drew episode, though the rest of the film is deeply disquieting and sexually agressive, not to be seen by those easily offended.
