I often feel so lost and alone,

and vulnerable in the danger zone.

Then I cry out loud in this “darkened place”,

as I feel my  fear filled heart start to race.

A voice cries out, “Come this way!”

and all I feel is utter dismay.

I have been there before and got hurt,

for from their lips, deceit did spurt!

Yet I now feel a warm, comforting hand in mine,

as a finger points to the light and I know, all is fine.

I feel the connection to something much greater than me,

and this golden love is all encompassing and free.
