I believe this is an antique button from the Boys Industrial School out of Lancaster Ohio. The school was open 1884 to 1954. There is further details online..you should google it as it is interesting.
No dents. Rust on the back and some wear on the front. Rear loop still exists. SEE PICTURES.
Right around 7/8" in diameter.
