This is a gorgeous pre owned Madonna and Child in the palette and style popularized by Lladro of Spain, made by Roman in Japan for The Valencia Collection in 1980.  The 7 inch tall by 5.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches deep bone china figurine features the Virgin Mary in a seated position holding the Christ Child in her lap.  The statue is hand painted with many intricate details.  The hands, feet, and facial features are very delicate and great care will be taken during shipment to protect the figurine from damage.  Both figures hold their hands in a delicate, prayerful manner.  Mary wears a flowing hood and gown of pale blue, the symbolic color for Mary.  The piece is marked with "The Valencia Collection 1980" and the double R logo of the Roman company on the base.  The original silver and blue foil sticker that says "Roman Japan" is also present as shown in the photos.
