Vintage Halloween Talking Skull? Prop With Light Up Eye not working very cool

Here is a prop I know nothing about

Look at photos closely nice patina

The battery cover is missing

I tested it and nothing happened

So not sure what it did.

The metal peice coming out of back head can come out

Hope you know what this is and can use it
