For your consideration is a WW2 issue canteen (Vollrath 1945) canteen with a lighter marine colored cover that is wool lined and has lift the dot snaps.  This canteen, since it belonged to my family, was issued to an officer and was in the end of WW2 and the Korean war.  Later was used in the Seabee operations.  Great shape with cork and holds water.  Snaps are in good workable order. The belt attachment on the back is gone.  The inside of the cover is in great condition as well.
