For your consideration is an antique Meriden Britannia coffee pot.  This one has an enamel insert.  It is quadruple plated.  It has 2 backstamps, one is Meriden B and Company and the other Meriden Britannia.  It also has 2 patent dates.  One I cannot read the month, but ***E, 13, 1868 and the other Nov 3d, 1868.  Also stamped 36.  It is 6 1/4" tall inside, and outside with the lid 10 1/2".  It is heavy.  It also has the 2 knobs at the side that was used in a stand to pour.  One of the knobs has been slightly bend in, probably from storage.  For it's age of over 150 years, in great shape.  No staining on inside.
