We actually think these Cufflinks might have been a giveaway for a Computer Society of India Convention because it appears they did meet in St Louis that year. It could also now mean any of the CSI tv shows or about 100 other acronyms.

Regardless they are sterling and made by Ballou & Co (hallmark BAB). Oval shaped, 1 inch in length and combined weight of exactly 10g.
