The Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, where the busts of four great American leaders-George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt-are sculptured in heroic proportions, is the largest monument ever con- ceived and executed by man. The late famous sculptor, Gutzon Borglum, did this marvelous work on this mountain of solid granite, 6,000 feet high.
