This sale is for a beautifully matted and framed picture by William Penn Snyder entitled "A Collegiate Game of Baseball" which was produced in 1889 and appeared in Harper's Weekly. The print portion showing in the farme measures 20 inches across by 14 inches while the fame is 32 inches across by 24 inches. 

It is housed in a black molded wood frame with a glass matting looking to be silver ornate with hand-painted scroll work over a black surface. It has Snyder's name in the picture on the bottom left and printed at the bottom next to the name of the picture.  I examed the print with a loop and there are no dots in the picture which show it is not a modern copy. It came from an estate sale.  See photographs for condition issues.
