Product description: Ellen, raised by a God fearin', church goin' mama and papa, marries William Howard Davis, who told her that he too was a church goin' man. Ellen learns that William only told her that so she would marry him. After baby Joy Louisa was born, William became angry because the baby was not a boy to help him on the farm. When Ellen finds William's box of whiskey, he again becomes angry and leaves in the midst of a terrible storm. Just as William rides his horse onto the bridge, the swift waters cause the bridge to fall, throwing Willian and his horse into the swift river waters. What will Ellen and her baby do, without a husband, when a stranger comes to claim the farm house and land? Will she lose all of her earthly things? Will she trust God? Will her faith in God never fail? Will she be as Job and let God supply all of her need?
