This little plastic Christmas pin is very old. The plastic is paper thin and of an early plastic material. I would call it celluloid, but it seems thinner than that. He has on a red tam with a sprig of holly at the front over his ear and a yellow pom pom on the top of the tam. He has a green and red check scarf around his neck. His eyes, nose, mouth and nails are painted on. The clasp works but like on early pins it has no hold. It is just an open "C" to hold the pin in place. It is very fragile. I expect it was originally manufactured for a child to wear. It is 2 inches tall and about 1 1/4 inches wide. It is probably supposed to be a scotty, but I would say it is a white terrier. It has been in a smoke free home.
