Stephen Edwin King (born 1947) is an American author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, crime, science-fiction, and fantasy novels. Described as the "King of Horror", a play on his surname and a reference to his high standing in pop culture, his books have sold more than 350 million copies, and many have been adapted into films, television series, miniseries, and comic books.
Peter Francis Straub (1943–2022) was an American novelist and poet. He wrote numerous horror and supernatural fiction novels, including Julia and Ghost Story, as well as The Talisman, which he co-wrote with Stephen King. Straub received such literary honors as the Bram Stoker Award, World Fantasy Award, and International Horror Guild Award.

Hardcover has red cloth spine, black paper boards with copper & black lettering on spine in a fairly complete, price-clipped dust jacket. Jacket has several closed tears, chips missing at some points, is stabilized with tape and in a plastic cover. Interior has no markings of any kind, but a liquid stain on p2 with some on page-edges. Interior is tight, unmarked and otherwise clean. Always privately owned.
