OTHER THAN THAT IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!!
This art lamp was bought in 1944 after World War II, This was purchased at an estate sale from the Daughter .. She provided me with the original tag that came with it ( Pictured ) She said it was handed down to her by her Mother . I asked her for the story behind this lamp, she states that Her Father fought in WWW II and that after the war Her Father Bought it for her Mother and then was handed down to the daughter when the Mother Passed ... It was originally bought for $2,899!! It's an original style and coloring designed specifically to complement your furnishings and enhance your interior! This lamp is equipped with a dimmer control in base, It is an Original Art Co., Inc. of Chicago lamp, the style number is 1806! It is colored bone white! The pictures don't even begin to show the beauty of this piece! It looks like a French woman sitting, holding a basket with leaves and berries in the other hand! There is writing on the bottom that is indented into the statue and it's very hard to read. It looks like it says "Les Claisies" or "Lcs Cloises" we are unsure. This lamp is a ONE OF A KIND and on sale for a great deal off of the original price!
