Vintage Made in Japan Old Man and Woman Hillbilly Hobo Hillbillies Salt & Pepper Shakers Set

This is a vintage set of kitschy salt and pepper shakers, made in Japan, depicting an old hillbilly or hobo man and woman.  The set probably dates from the 1950's to early 1960's.  The television show, the Beverly Hillbillies ran from 1962 to 1971 and was very popular in American culture at the time.   The old man does resemble Jed Clampett and the woman does look like Granny from the show.  The set is in well maintained pre owned condition.  The man measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and the woman measures 3.25 inches tall.
