JOHN GORDON: DIALOGUE WITH NATURE by Carole Van Wyngarden. In Iowa, Gordon paints his response to the spaciousness and the abundant, yet momentary, patterns of light that form on the houses, streets, and trees of small Midwestern towns.

TIM SASKA: KANSAS LIGHT by James Moore. In Kansas, the prairie and farm country around this artist's eastern Kansas home provide the subject matter for his acrylic paintings. Using intense colors and values, he captures the lushness and drama of the area.

THE WATERCOLOR PAGE: GERHARD C. F. MILLER. In Wisconsin's Door County, this painter finds egg tempera suits his needs for brilliance and sharp definition in his "imaginative realism" paintings.

THE "DIARY ART" OF FRED LEE VOTAW by M. J. Albacete, In Ohio, this young artist creates wistful, intriguing drawings, paintings, and collages, using mixed media and symbols of personal significance.
