I've been trying hard to update Madam Crawley's spells with some of the exuberant accounts and exciting emails we have received. I am so touched by all of them, and if I don't post yours, it's not because it's any less exciting or important. I'm doing it randomly and letting the spirits guide me. This Spell has been somewhat misunderstood, and that must be my fault for not explaining clearly. This Spell channels A FOREST WEALTH SPIRIT THAT WAS FOUND TO EXIST IN WYCHWOOD FOREST. This Spirit is not of diseased human form, but a miraculous formation of Energy that is much how we would consider a God. I don't like to say God or Goddess in reference to THE FOREST WEALTH SPIRIT as it implies human qualities. Imagine it more as a DYNAMIC, POWER SOURCE THAT BECOMES AT YOUR DISPOSAL. There is an ancient medieval forest in Oxfordshire, England, called Wychwood. Mrs. Madam Crawley makes a pilgrimage there every year for the Feast of Beltaine-on May 1st a grand springtime festival is held to mark the end of the winter or the Dark Season. Witches and other believers leave offerings of fruit and milk in fields and woods, to seek the good graces of the little people and forest dwellers. It is believed that in turn, the forest folk would reward such thoughtfulness by providing humans with riches, abundance and wealth.
One example of this RARE AND POWERFUL BLESSING can be seen in the case of Jim. Jim spent a large part of his life as a normal man who lived in the small village of Wychwood. He acquired a ring with this very same spell attached to it. Soon after, things began to change for Jim. After living a life of absolute obscurity, he was suddenly and unexpectedly given a TAVERN by the owner of the local pub who decided to finally beat the cold winters by moving to Spain. Not SOLD, but GIVEN!!!! And yes, Jim did frequent the establishment but he was not by any means a close friend of the landlords. Then he was made an offer on his farm by an eccentric American, who thought it would be quaint to have as a holiday getaway. Still, Old Jim told him it wasn't for sale, but they finally struck a happy deal when the American offered him 1.5 million dollars!!
The farmer moved into the tavern, and was renamed LUCKY JIM by the locals.
