H.E. Harris folder holds Standing Liberty Quarters from 1916-1930, along with history on the inside flap. This is a tri-fold folder that opens flat for all at once viewing with a total of 39 openings, then closes to book size for easy storage. The number of coins minted and the year is printed below each opening of this folder. All H.E. Harris folders are made of acid-free materials for the protection and storage of your coins.

The holes in this folder have a special LOCK-IN feature. But first, a word of caution: always hold a coin by the edge and never touch its obverse or reverse. We recommend you wear gloves when pressing your coins into place. Now that you are ready, simply place the coin with one edge tipped into the hole, and then press the high edge downward and toward the lowered edge (slantwise). Feel the snap? It's locked in!

This type quarter was designed by Herman A. Mac Neil. Liberty is shown "stepping forward to the gateway of the country." The shield is raised " in the attitude of protection. The right hand bears the olive branch of peace." The designer's initial M is on the base of the right portal. The reverse depicts an eagle in full flight. The original 1916 design was not received favorably by the public and was modified during 1917 with a more fully clothed figure of Liberty and a better proportioned eagle on the reverse. In 1925 a depression was made in the pedestal on which Liberty stands to protect the date from excessive wear. The subsequent "recessed" date proved more durable as a result of this change. The mint marks D or S appear at the base of the left portal. D for Denver; S, San Francisco and no letter, Philadelphia. Below each opening is shown the quantity minted. No Standing Liberty Quarters were produced in 1922.
