- This is a very rare, vintage one-sided metal acetate 45 rpm phonograph record by Ed Townsend, entitled, "If He Had Just Held On". Plain label with only artist's name and song title as shown.
This record is obviously a one-off recording. The first half is spoken word and starts with the following dialog: "Aretha, This is Soul Scully". He talks for half of the record before breaking into the song which is clearly a rehearsal and not the finished take.
- Record is visually graded probably good to very good. Light surface scratches and a couple of scuffs but no knife cuts. Record plays VG+ to VG++. Vocals are crisp and clear.
