JTL URANIUM ROCK
JURASSIC TODILTO LIMESTONE
Found during June 2022 at Jurassic Canyon,
located 20 miles NW from Grants NM
on the ground surface
Weight of rock: 6.3 oz. Radiation: 105,000. CPM,
when measured with a standard pancake probe.
The JTL rocks are identified with visible layers.
This type of rock is rare at all other locations in
the world, but is moderately common at Jurassic
Canyon, near Grants NM. These are sedimentary
rocks, and the combination of geological features
at this canyon promoted the creation of this type
Going back 150 million years ago, to the Jurassic
era, a large freshwater lake existed here, at the
same time as the many species of ancient dinosaurs.
The dinosaurs likely drowned in the lake water,
then for thousands of years the biological tissues
of their bodies were turned into fossiled stone.
The nearby mountain, Mount Taylor, was a uranium
volcano, and its substances made the fossilized
stone radioactive.
This rock can only be mailed to addresses
within the USA, because regulations of the
Nuclear Regulatory Commission forbid the
export of these rocks to any foreign country.
