CARNOTITE URANIUM ROCK

This rock is made of uranium, and it was

found at Uravan, Colorado, during June 2021.

Its radiation level is 76,000. CPM, a high level

compared to ordinary rocks found in the wilderness.

The site, Jurassic Canyon, is better known by its

previous name, POISON CANYON. That name is

historically and geologically inaccurate. The term,

POISON, in the older name has NOTHING to do

with uranium or radioactivity. The term, POISON,

refers to toxic natural chemicals in the soil, two

of which are selenium and arsenic. These two

substances are toxic to farm animals that graze

on the land; they have NOTHING to do with

radioactivity.
