Are you familiar with Indian sarees ? They are quite amazing in that they have selvage borders and then a large border at one end that ends the panel. I used this large border for jacket fronts or sleeves or dress bodices. Take a little planning but the end results are spectacular !

This one is a gorgeous teal woven with fuschia designs & gorgeous metallic gold borders at the lower selvage & partially up the top selvage. Double paisley crosswise border at 1 end of the fabric !
