Here today is a vintage metal gas or oil can with spout. Maker and age are unknown.  Looks to be a bit early. Has wear from use and storage. Great for display. Looks a little small for a 5 gallon. Perhaps 3 gallon. Measures 14  inches tall and 11 inches across. See photos as they are an important part of the description and will help you know what you are bidding on.
