This is an adorable miniature bud or cabinet vase designed by Sharon Kuo at Empress Arts. It is hand enameled on brass or copper. The delightful images of cats are on both sides of the vase. There are three cats sitting on a brick wall watching bees flying around three bee hives. Two of the cats are grey or gray and one is a golden yellow. The beautifully detailed images repeat on the opposite side. I have taken pictures of both sides so you can see the slight differences. The vase measures approximately 3 inches tall, 2 ½ inches wide and 1 inch deep. The bottom of the vase reads ® Copyright Empress Arts, Ltd. 2004. TM All Rights Reserved, Empress Arts LTD. Designed in U.S.A.

The original hand tag card is included and it reads:

“Since 1972, Sharon Kuo has been the creative force behind Empress Arts. She is the daughter of internationally acclaimed artist, Mr. Ming-Chaio Kuo. Mr. Kuo's work is represented in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Asian Art. Under her father's guidance, she learned to design decorative objects in the enamel-on-copper medium. Over the years, her work has evolved to incorporate bronze, porcelain, wood and glass.”

This is in excellent condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. No enamel missing, no dents or scratches. What a great gift this would make for any cat lover. It is also the perfect addition to your collection of miniature artwork. It is an exquisite design and quality.
