BEE GEES ~ GREATEST

So here's the story...all is not what it seems with this double CD album...ostensibly, it's the Bee Gees Greatest, both discs appear visually correct, classic '70's-style Polydor branding, the FatBox jewel case has Bee Gees Greatest inlay booklet and both front and rear inlays are as they should be...

...until you come  to play the thing...

...starting with Disc Two, it's all good, '70's classics by the Brothers Gibb, familiar and much-loved, no issues there.

...put in Disc One however, and you'll be waiting a long time for the familiar shuffle of the opening bars of Jive Talkin'...instead what you get is some definitely urban Hip Hop Rap, which - when you place the CD in the computer CD tray is identified as the debut self-titled album by Domino, rapper of some distinction, in that field...no Bee Gees tracks play on this disc, it's the full 10 tracks by Mr Domino, giving it his generic Rap groove...no Night Fever, no You Should Be dancing, no Staying Alive...

...which is sad, in one way, but - for collectors of music industry oddities and mix-ups, this is a definite one-off, I couldn't find any reference on Google to a Bee Gees / Domino mispress, so grab a real rarity.

And, you never know, in time you may come to love being harangued by Domino as much as you love doing falsetto impersonations of Nights On Broadway.

Check the pictures over carefully, they are part of the description, too.
