PING TI SI 8.5* DRIVER

From Ping: At 323cc the TiSI is the largest, totally custom-fit titanium driver available today. More importantly (for most golfers), it's also one of the longest-hitting drivers on the market.

Review: "Funny to think this driver is almost "old school" now. I borrowed it one day from a buddy's trunk. 10.5 degree/RUD. Teed low, easy to catch the center of the face and hit it low and straignt. When I wanted a little oomph, was able to play it out front, high, and on the toe for a great long draw. He gifted it to me by the turn. Several years later, I'm still getting a kick out of its playability while my buddies try to keep up with the next new thing every year. It took a while for me to figure out how to hit a good fade with this club, and I finally had to settle on opening the face at address. The club's balance and other characteristics bring the face back to address position almost effortlessly. I can't stress enough how important it is to go with the setup that suits your swing. I have tried to hit each of the other combinations, and none of them work for me. Although I continue to try out new drivers at the pro shop, nothing gives me a noticeable advantage in distance or accuracy, so the TiSi stays in my bag. This club can be had used for around $50 now at a lot of golf shops, & will perform great for the golfer who is very budget conscious."

Ping woods were ahead of their time when it came to oversized golf clubs, these woods were by far the largest wooden head golf clubs of the era.
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

"Ping “Wood” woods are maple laminates. Ping woods are some of the easier “wood” woods to hit and they feel and sound great. I have multiple sets of these. They are excellent woods."

Vintage clubs in good condition.
The Driver has Ping 350 Series by Aldila Stiff graphite shaft, 3 & 5 Woods have Ping Steel Shafts. 
Clubs show scratches and wear on the sole and/or scratches/ball marks/chips to the face from play, but overall nice shape including the paint which may show just minor wear.
Grooves are in good shape showing light actual play wear.
