Mickey Mantle-arguably the greatest Yankee ever-tells all, from his childhood in Oklahoma to the bright lights of Yankee Stadium. A fine and quite well-written walk through the nostalgia of Mickey Mantle's life and career (who I idolized as a kid in Jersey), with a goodly amount of insight into the strategy of baseball. Not surprisingly, he does not dwell on the self - destructive tendencies in his personality that arguably cut his amazing career short by 5 or more years, but there are many other biographies that deal with that. All in all, a very entertaining read.
