My husband's cousin Tony took us on a tour of Puerto Rico's beautiful northern beaches. I took this photo of the surf and some time later did this pastel painting of it. On our tour, the seat I was sitting in front broke and I had to finish the tour leaning all the way back. I had a good view of the sky! Also, if you are not familiar with pastels, read on. They are sticks made of pure pigment with minimal binder. They are an immediate, dry, and vibrant medium to paint with. They will not lose their vibrancy if properly handled and framed.
