Adam Hall's QUILLER is similar to JOHN LE CARRE's George Smiley, except that Quiller gets out of the office more often, and occasionally carries a gun -- although he'd rather not. Quiller is also similar to LEN DEIGHTON's Harry Palmer, but Quiller is more disciplined (and cynical), and has less sense of humor. Quiller also resembles IAN FLEMING's James Bond, except that Quiller's enemies aren't quite so colorful, and Quiller doesn't seem to have Bond's roguish style with the ladies. And, finally, Quiller -- is Quiller, one of the best of the 1960s breed of British secret agent characters.
