With the assistance of a stomatologist friend, he created the toothpaste with the aim of limiting the widespread cases of receding gums. The quality of the product was to make it so successful that, even today, for the older people in Portugal,  "Pasta Couto" is synonymous with toothpaste. The small production is still carried out by the Couto family. Couto toothpaste is recommended for daily oral and dental hygiene. Thanks to its properties, it helps to prevent caries and gums problems. Rub your teeth and gums well with a good quality toothbrush, getting the toothpaste to penetrate the interdental space, leaving in contact with the gums for some minutes before rising. Teeth should be cleaned whenever possible after meals, before going to bed and after getting up. In serious cases, for example when the state of the gums does not allow the use of a brush,  Couto Toothpaste can be applied with the tip of your index finger,  gentle massaging it and leaving it in contact with the gums for a few minutes.
