Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). 12" Single. Generic MCA cover looks good, a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing, surface impressions and mild surface abrasion (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (plastic). Spine is somewhat readable with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge with split near bottom center; wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Don't You Want Me, by Jody Watley is from her eponymous debut album. The song was produced by Bernard Edwards of Chic-fame and written by Jody Watley, Franne Golde and David Paul. Watley's previous single, Still a Thrill, fared well in dance and R&B markets, but less-so in the mainstream. This prompted her label, MCA, to go in a more pop-friendly direction. Don't You Want Me was one of the biggest crossover singles for the year 1987, reaching top ten on the Billboard pop and R&B charts and becoming a number-one dance club hit.
