Vintage original 9.5 x 13.25 in. US double-weight matte photograph from the 1960s repressed homosexual in the military-themed drama, THE SERGEANT, released in 1968 by Warner Bros./Seven Arts and directed by John Flynn, about a story of a brilliant master sergeant (Rod Steiger) with a great career behind him and transferred to yet another post, his attraction to a younger man (John Phillip Law) eventually overrides him, to a point where his latent homosexuality, finally emerges.
The image depicts a close shot of Solange Gerard (Ludmila Mikael) gazing upwards into the face of Pfc. Tom Swanson (John Phillip Law). This photograph comes from a newspaper archive and is in fine+ condition as shown with a printed caption on the verso.
