This is a miniature porcelain handled pitcher in a lovely dark blue. The blue is darker than it appears in the photos. It is decorated with a hand painted fierce dragon design in shades of white, grey and blue done in the Moriage style, which is a raised dimensional design. The dragon wraps around the pitcher. The handle has a gold trim accent.  It is unsigned, but these were always from Japan. It stands approximately 2 ¼ inches tall and 1 ½ inches wide.

It is in very nice vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs, some of the white paint or enamel around the top rim of the pitcher is missing and there is minor wear to the gold finish. (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in the pitcher itself. You could easily touch up the white paint or remove it and leave just the gold trim. I have been unable to find another one in this shade of blue, it appears to be quite unusual. Please look at the pictures carefully as they are part of the description.

This would be a wonderful accent piece for any Asian décor room. If you like the rich blue shades, this would a nice addition to your collection.
