This listing features a beautiful and well preserved example of a 1980's Indian Handmade Mandella. We say "Indian" because that's how the tag on this product reads. It says;

Indian Handmade MAN-DEL-LA The Indian Handmade Mandella symbolizes the Indian shield of good luck. With this shield they believed the gods would protect them, and by having one in their homes, it would bring them prosperity, good health and happiness.

Additionally it says; This is an original handmade Indian Mandella Made from natural sheep's wool, Rabbit fur, leather, fleece and feathers of various birds.

This lovely piece of Native American artistry comes from El Paso Texas and is accompanied by a lovely poem. It's in incredible condition. Please see our pictures.

As an aside note; overall Texas is Apache Indian territory and El Paso, located on the far western tip of Texas, is where the Tigua Tribe of Apache Indians are located. They are quite likely the creator's of this piece because any other tribe of Apache is literally hundreds of miles away.

BTW Its not that we're so smart about Native American tribes but we do have an American Indian Tribal location fact card which we've included an image of as the last picture. Go ahead and DL it, you know you want to 😁
