Lady Godiva of Coventry 1955 original vintage lobby card on heavy card stock. 11x14 inches.

"Lady Godiva of Coventry" is a 1955 American Technicolor historical drama film, directed by Arthur Lubin. It starred Maureen O'Hara in the title role. Alec Harford, the English actor who portrayed Tom the Tailor, died eight months before the film's release.

Movie lobby cards are a uniquely American creation. They are a hybrid of movie posters and, usually, movie star photos. Back in the early 1910s, the small
nickelodeons, where films were first shown, started morphing into larger, more permanent, and more elegant venues.
